The value of fish and seafood imports to the European Union (EU-28) increased from approximately 35 billion Canadian dollars in 2015 to around 45 billions in 2018. As of the latest period recorded, Spain ranked first as the largest importer of fish and seafood with an estimated import value of just under eight billion Canadian dollars.
