Agreement on improper garbage disposal since Swachh Bharat Mission in India 2019
According to a survey conducted in 2019, about 88 percent of respondents observed specific waste such as plastic, hazardous or construction debris dumped with regular municipal waste. Designated disposal sites for construction and demolition waste was absent in their locality. However, a gradual improvement in the neighborhood was observed by 72 percent of respondents at the end of the fifth year of Swachh Bharat initiative. The Swachh Bharat Mission is a campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, smaller towns, and rural areas.
