Botswana is the largest diamond producer in Africa, with natural gemstones and industrial diamond production amounting to a total of 24.5 million carats in 2022. The Democratic Republic of the Congo was the second-largest African diamond-producing country that year, reaching a production volume of over 9.9 million carats.
