Online contact with friend groups among children in Denmark 2018, by age and gender
In 2018, more than 50 percent of children above 13 years of age in Denmark, were communicating with a group of friends online on a daily basis. While the amount of communication was lower for 11-year-olds, the time spend online was peaking for the 15-year-olds, with 69 percent of the boys having contact to a friend group every day. Generally, the boys spent more time talking to their friends on the internet during this period than the girls.
