Number of employed pre-pensioners in Russia in 2019, by gender
In 2019, out of 4.3 million men of a pre-retirement age in Russia, only 1.8 million were employed. Among Russian women born between 1964 and 1968, or those who would retire within the following five years, 2.2 million were officially employed, representing approximately 38 percent of the population in this gender and age category.
