According to a survey carried out in Canada in July 2019, the share of Canadians who had tried plant-based meat alternatives was highest amongst respondents from Atlantic Canada - some 45 percent of respondents from this region had tried plant-based meat alternatives in a restaurant or from a grocery store. This was four percent higher than the Canadian average of 41 percent.
