BLIK transactions value in Poland 2015-2024, by method

Polish mobile financial transaction application BLIK has seen a significant increase in user transactions between 2015 and 2024. E-commerce transactions have increased from 0.01 billion zloty in 2015 to nearly 173 billion zloty in 2024. Transactions via ATMs, payment terminals, and P2P between phones have also increased.
Popular payment methods in Poland
In 2024, Poles used various payment methods to shop online on different devices. One of them was BLIK, the most used online payment. In 2023, one of the most popular forms of electronic payment was still a fast transfer through payment services such as Przelewy24 and PayU, as well as BLIK. BLIK was the most secure payment method for online shopping in 2022, excluding cash on delivery.
Transaction volume and value soar
The popularity of BLIK is not only reflected in its user numbers but also in transaction volumes and values. In 2024, BLIK processed a staggering 2.4 billion transactions, a dramatic increase from just one million in 2015. The total value of these transactions reached over 347.3 billion zloty in 2024, representing a 43 percent increase from the previous year. This growth has solidified BLIK's position as the most commonly used form of payment for online shopping in Poland in 2024, surpassing other popular methods like card payments and quick bank transfers.
