According to a survey on Korean beauty in 2021 in China, around 31 percent of the respondents stated that the main negative influence on consumers' impression of Korean beauty products were excessive advertisements. Another 26 percent of the respondents answered that political or diplomatic issues with Korea left a negative impression on K-beauty for them.
