Share of vegetarians by age group in Germany 2024

In Germany, the share of vegetarians was higher among younger respondents than in other age groups. Of those aged 20 to 29, 11 percent stated that they follow vegetarian nutrition rules. Among those 40 years old or older the share of those who do not eat meat and fish was noticeably smaller.
