In a week’s time U.S. voters will be heading to the polling stations to choose their next president. The candidates battling it out this time around don’t have much in common. This doesn’t just show in Hillary Clinton's and Donald Trump's arguments and rhetoric, but also in their campaign finances.
Considering donations to their respective campaign committees, it springs to the eye that Clinton has much better third party financial support than Trump, who is known to tap his own wealth to keep his campaign afloat.According to media reports, he has just injected $10 million into the campaign for the last week.
Please note that the money came from the organizations' PACs; their individual members, employees or owners; and those individuals' immediate families, as noted by the Center for Responsive Politics. “At the federal level, the organizations themselves did not donate, as they are prohibited by law from doing so.”
