How are recent university graduates around Europe faring in the job market? According to data released by Eurostat, employment rates fluctuate across the continent with the lowest figures recorded in southern Europe. People who graduated from tertiary education within the last one to three years have the bleakest job prospects in Greece where only 50% have found employment.
Italy and Spain also have weak opportunities for recent graduates with employment at 57.6 and 68.7 percent respectively. Malta tops the table with 97 percent of recent graduates employed, with Germany and Sweden in second and third place.
