Scotland housing completions 1949-2022, by sector

Nearly 28 percent of housing units in Scotland whose construction was completed in 2023 were developed by housing associations or local authorities. Nevertheless, most dwellings were completed by private enterprises. Overall, there were approximately 15,110 housing units finished in 2023, which is higher than in the two previous years.
