Looking at Live Nation’s core business as a concert promoter, the company’s dominance is obvious, even at the global level. According to Pollstar, a company that has tracked the live entertainment industry for decades, Live Nation sold more than 70 million tickets for shows played between November 2022 and November 2023, grossing $7.4 billion. Its largest competitor, Eventim Live, which is particularly strong in Europe, sold just 21 million tickets for a gross of $1.4 billion. In fact, Live Nation sold more tickets than the next 10 largest concert promoters worldwide, illustrating the scale of its dominance.
