While we might dream of being sent to an exotic location for an extended business trip, according to a Booking.com business travel trends survey, it is much more likely that your company will send you to a domestic location. In the US, just 16.4% of company trips are international, which is understandable given the size of the country and limited number of boarder counties. Nonetheless, it may be surprising to some that only slightly more than a quarter of business travel by German companies is international, despite bordering no fewer than nine other countries. Of the three nations surveyed, UK businesses appear to be most prepared to send their employees overseas with almost a third of business travel trips being international.
