The streaming platform Twitch attracts millions of people every month that want to watch others play video games, or simply chat and take questions about them. While for many this sounds like an odd way to spend your time, it really isn't any different to the behaviour of fans of more traditional sports and pastimes. Hand in hand with the rise of the platform, a number of streamers have also become very successful.
Possibly the best-known streamer, Ninja, made $10 million in 2018 and, despite having 'left' Twitch, still has almost 15 million followers. For this infographic though, we're looking at the individuals still active on the platform which have the largest follower count. At the top is Tfue (real name Turner Tenney) who entertains his 7.2 million followers mainly playing the game which helped Ninja to star status - Fortnite.
