The U.S. dollar remains dominant as shares of currency trades somewhat climbed in 2019, Bloomberg reported on November 2, citing data from Bank for International Settlements. As of April 2019, foreign exchange turner in dollars rose to 88.3 percent, a slight increase from 87.6 percent in 2016. The Euro also slightly gained, rising from 31.4 percent in 2016 to 32.3 percent in 2019. The Yen saw a decrease, lowering from 21.6 percent in 2016 to 16.8 percent in 2019. In emerging market currencies, there was a 3.5 percent climb in 2019.
