According to a YouGov poll released Tuesday, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren is seen by a majority of Americans to be more physically fit than President Donald Trump, who is running for a second term in the 2020 election. In the poll, 66 percent of registered voters said that Warren’s age would not be an issue for a potential presidency, while 53 percent said the same about Trump. Warren would be 71 at the time of a potential inauguration, while Trump would start his second term as a 74-year-old.
Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders were considered less fit by survey respondents, with only 38 percent and 27 percent, respectively, not considering their age to be an issue. Sanders suffered a heart attack this month on the campaign trail, which added to his health being rated more negatively. Sanders would be 79 at the time of inauguration. Biden would be 78.
Currently, President Trump is the oldest candidate ever to take office. At the time of his inauguration, he was 70.
