Trump Approval at Record Low Post-Mueller Report
U.S. Politics
Following the release of the redacted Mueller report, Donald Trump's approval rating has taken a hit, now down at a record low. The Morning Consult poll for Politico shows approval to be at 39 percent, and disapproval at 57 percent, making a net -18 - an all-time low. The report has also increased calls from some corners for impeachment proceedings to be begun but, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has so far signaled unwillingness to go down this route, the current weight of public opinion is also not behind taking this step. Only 34 percent of voters believe Congress should try to impeach, compared to 48 percent that do not.
