Fortnite has exploded over the past year, gaining over 150 million users in 2018 alone. The all-consuming game has captivated players across the globe.
According to a recent study by Common Sense Media, there is a gap in what teens feel they learn on Fornite and what parents observe from their teens on the game. Half of teen Fortnite players said that they learned teamwork by playing the game, while only about a quarter of parents said that their teens had learned any teamwork by playing Fortnite. About four in ten teens said that playing Fortnite improved their communication skills, while only 14 percent of parents said that Fortnite helped their teens communication skills.
