It's down to the final four in the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia. It's essentially Euro 2018 now, with traditionally strong sides such as Brazil and Argentina crashing out and teams such as England and Croatia going further than they have done for quite some time. The beautiful game is arguably harder to predict at this tournament than it has been for a while - nevertheless, Google has provided the 'win probability' for each team due to play in the semi-final matches.
England have made it to their first World Cup semi-final since 1990. Back then in Italy, England were dispatched by eventual winners West Germany via penalty shootout. This time round though, it's somewhat of a different opponent standing between the Three Lions and their first final since 1966. While Croatia are by no means going to be easy to beat, this is a big chance for England - and the algorithm at Google seems to agree. Gareth Southgate's men have been awarded a 41 percent chance of winning while Croatia are the underdogs with 29 percent. If Google is to be trusted on this, France will be awaiting England in the final after a tight affair with Belgium.
