New analysis by INRIX shows that on average last year, each commuter in London spent 149 hours stuck in traffic - far ahead of second-placed Belfast with 112 hours and third-placed Bristol with 103. When looking at cities around the world, London isn't just extreme in UK terms, coming in at place twelve on the global list. Top is Bogota with an astounding 191 hours. Congestion isn't merely an annoyance for drivers though. According to the source, poor traffic flow cost the UK economy £6.9 billion last year.
