Number of firefighters in Great Britain, by brigade 2022
There were 4,509 firefighters working for the London Fire Brigade in 2022, making it the largest fire brigade in the whole of Great Britain. In Scotland, the entire country is covered by just one fire brigade, which has 3,529 firefighters, followed by Fire Brigades in Wales which had 1,474 firefighters.
