Remaining years of operation for nuclear power plants in the UK 2023
In 2023, five out of the nine nuclear power reactors present in the United Kingdom had a remaining operational life of one to two years. In the same year, the power plants of Hinkley Point B and Hunterston B were shut down. EDF UK announced that Heysham II and Torness 1&2 will stop their activity in 2028 instead than in 2030, as previously planned.
