Total primary energy supply from oil shale in Israel 2013-2021
In 2021, the total primary energy supply provided by the use of oil shale in Israel amounted to metric 430,800 tons. This was a slight increase in the use of oil shale as a primary energy supply fuel compared to the previous year. Overall, the use of oil shale as a primary energy supply fluctuated in the country during the period under review, while remaining stable at an average of around 414,000 metric tons.
