Net asset growth rate of nationally domiciled AIFs in Europe 2022, by country
In 2022, the net assets under management (AUM) of a lot of nationally domiciled European funds experienced negative growth. Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Turkey experienced the highest growth among all European countries. A positive growth rate in net assets is well received by fund managers and investors. However, it does not necessarily reflect the fund size. While Bulgaria experienced the highest growth rate of roughly 80 percent, AUM of funds in Bulgaria is among the lowest in Europe. This contrasts with France experiencing around four percent decline in 2022. However, the level of AUM in France is among the highest in Europe.
