Electricity generated from gas in Nigeria 2000-2020
In 2020, electricity generated from gas in Nigeria amounted to around 21.4 terawatt hours. In the preceding year, the amount was higher, at roughly 23 terawatt hours. Within the period observed, the contribution of gas to electricity production in the country overall increased, peaking in 2014 at 24.52 terawatt hours. Compared to other fossil fuels, gas occupies the major share of Nigeria's electricity generation mix.
