Social media usage among children in Denmark 2018, by age and gender
In 2018, the amount of time children spent on social media in Denmark was increasing with the age of the respondents. While seven percent of 11-year-old boys were using social media at least four hours a day on a weekday, this was the case for 20 percent of the 15-year-olds. However, teenage girls spent even more time communicating on social media than their peers. While only six percent of the 11-year-old girls were on social media four hours a day, 22 percent of the 13-year-olds did the same. The most active group on social media during the week were 15-year-old girls, where 27 percent used a minimum of four hours every day.
