In the second quarter of 2023, the unemployment rate in Russia was the highest in the North Caucasian Federal District at nearly 10 percent. The lowest figure was recorded in the Ural Federal District at 2.4 percent. In the second and third quarters of 2020, unemployment sharply increased in the country due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
