As of May 2024, Linde's market capitalization reached approximately 206.71 billion U.S. dollars, the highest among the leading chemical companies worldwide. Other companies operating in the industrial gas market include Air Liquide, Shin-Etsu Chemical Co, and Ecolab Inc. The revenue of Air Liquide, a multinational company headquartered in France, amounted to some 27.6 billion euros in 2023.
