Is generative AI too tempting to resist? The convenience and speed of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in producing online content may feel like forbidden fruit to the average internet user. With just a few prompts, AI quickly brings ideas and products to life without the requirement of extensive expertise and content creation. However, this impressive speed multiplies the risks of AI being misused for malicious intent, spreading false information, leaking data or intellectual property, and facilitating cybercrime. Just like the apple in the Garden of Eden brought immense knowledge, this technology falls at the center of the debate about safety and risks of AI that come with the overwhelming and, so far, unregulated global adoption of this technology.
