Statista overview report on Brexit

The Brexit Factbook

At 11pm on January 31, 2020 the United Kingdom left the European Union, ending a partnership that stretched back almost fifty years. Between the Brexit vote on June 23, 2016 and this date, more than 1,300 days passed, with the UK seeing three different Prime Ministers and two general elections.

After the UK left the EU, the country entered into a transitional period throughout 2020. During these eleven months, the UK was in a transition phase, where little changed regarding travel and trade. Although a trade deal was eventually agreed upon, the negotiations were complicated by a multitude of issues. The current agreement is a compromise that has not definitively settled trade relations. Additionally, the UK has started its post-Brexit life in a tough economic environment characterized by labor shortages and high inflation.

The Statista Brexit Factbook aims to give you a comprehensive overview of the most important and facts and figures, from the start of Brexit until the end of it.
