Global Migration

This report presents a collection of statistics relating to global migration. Migration has played an important role in shaping history and current demographic trends. Migration may occur depending on a vast array of pull factors, such as family connectionsor economic/educational opportunities, or push factors, such as unemployment or low living standards at home. Push factors may also be more severe, such as conflict, persecution, or food instability, while the issue of climate migration is poised to be one of the most important issues of the 21^st century. This report presents an array of statistics relating to migrant populations, migratory flows, and remittances, as well as chapters relating to forced migration.
