The revival of home cooking

Cooking behavior around the world has changed rapidly in recent years. This report identifies two main developments that disrupted and revived home cooking. Firstly, the coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdowns greatly increased the amount of meals cooked at home. Secondly, new consumer demographics knows as millennials and Generation Z have started to impact the global food industry with their preference for plant-based and healthy food. The pandemic and consumers' new food priorities have been affecting various food-related market segments, the most important of which are discussed in this report.
