Statista trend report on the employee satisfaction and digitalization in the U.S.
The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the labor market in the United States in a way no crisis has within the last decade. In July 2021, rising job openings led to a workers’ market – candidates started asking for more, and many employees left their old jobs to work for more attractive employers.
However, not every industry has been affected equally by this development. While employers in commerce and hospitality industries suffer from a high number of resignation, other industries are much less impacted.
This report analyzes the drivers for employee satisfaction in a wide range of industries. It compares the satisfaction of employees of different types of employers and explains the influence various factors of working life have on general satisfaction.
As digitalization has been brought into focus lately, this study addresses the influence digital aspects have on the employee’s satisfaction and compares different industries. Furthermore, it highlights the top performing employers in the U.S. based on their degree of digitalization.
