An Analysis of the Operational Costs of Trucking 2021 Update

This study provides marginal cost data on U.S. motor carriers in the trucking industry. The study includes 2020 cost data as reported in a survey of for-hire carriers. Average marginal costs are based on vehicle costs (fuel, insurance, permits, tolls, repair, lease or purchase payments) and driver costs (wages, benefits).
