Statista overview report on economic development in the CEE region
In December 1991, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) collapsed, preceded by social protests in the Eastern bloc countries between 1989 and 1990. These revolutions marked the end of communism and the domination of the USSR in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). This report looks at the process of systemic change that brings the CEE region closer to the prosperity of Western European countries.
