COVID-19 ventilator patients in Belgium in 2020
On December 20, 2020, 313 people were under a medical ventilator in Belgium due to the coronavirus. From March 20 to December 20, numerous patients have been placed on these devices in Belgian hospitals. The peak of ventilator use to treat coronavirus patients was reached in early April when roughly 1,000 people were on a ventilator. As the pandemic grew in the country, so did the number of patients under ventilators.
