In the academic year 2018-2019, the majority of students in Flanders were enrolled in academic programs. Over 90 percent of students in the Dutch-speaking region in Belgium in 2018-2019 were enrolled in academically oriented programs or academically oriented transition programs, while the just six percent of students were enrolled in higher arts education or professionally oriented courses in the same year.

Professionally oriented bachelor courses
Academically oriented bachelor degrees
Masters
Masters after a professional bachelor
Transition program

A diploma contract is a contract entered into by an institutional board with a student who enrols with the intention of achieving a course degree or diploma, or a student who enrols for a transition or preparation program. In addition, a student can also enrol with a credit or exam contract.
