Voluntary abortions by Oriéntame in Colombia 2020, by city
Oriéntame, a non-profit organization that guides women in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies in Colombia, performed 9,202 voluntary abortions in 2020. Approximately 77% of these abortions took place in the capital city of Bogotá. Dosquebradas followed, with around 860 abortions. In February 2022, Colombia's Constitutional Court voted in favor of decriminalizing abortion up to the 24th week of pregnancy, regardless of the reason.
