The survey results show that as of 2018, respondents preferred to use generalist channels when purchasing food an beverages. Over 95 percent of respondents indicated that they preferred to shop for fresh, packaged and frozen foods through generalist channels, while the share of respondents who preferred specialist channels who preferred specialist stores when purchasing personal care and beauty products was close to 75 percent.
