Bearing the costs of animal welfare in relation to food production in Germany 2017
This statistic shows the results of a survey in Germany about who should bear the costs of ensuring the welfare of livestock in German food production. The survey was conducted in December 2017. 72 percent of respondents said that consumers should be the primary bearers of this cost (additional costs) to ensure animal welfare and the appropriate treatment of livestock.
