Inflow of university students in the Netherlands 2007-2018, by gender
The statistic displays the inflow of university students in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2018, by gender. Between 2007 and 2018, the share of female students entering into academic level education in the Netherlands was consistently higher than the share of male students who did so. In the academic year 2017/18, close to 28 percent of female first year bachelor and doctoral students in the Netherlands entered into academic studies, while the share of male students who began academic studies in the same year was just over 23 percent.
