This statistic displays the results of a survey of types of news media sources used in the Netherlands in 2019 by age group. The survey results show that as of 2019, younger survey respondents tended to rely on online news sources, while participants aged 55 years or older were more inclined to follow the news on television. In 2019, just over 70 percent of 18 to 24 year olds used online news media, excluding social media and blogs, while approximately 85 percent of respondents aged 55 or older relied on television for the news.
