In 2020, the total flight time for general aviation operations in China was 984,000 hours, an eight percent decrease compared to 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the general aviation flight time is expected to increase by 12 percent from the previous year, reaching 1.1 million hours. The aviation industry in China has been growing rapidly in recent decade. This was visible from the stark increase in flight hours since 2010.
