It shows that between 2009 and 2018, the number of fte employed in the food retail sector increased, from just over 145,300 fte in 2009 to approximately 170,600 fte in 2018. Figures include all employees receiving wages as well as self-employed, including managers, employed shareholders and family members. Family members not receiving wages are excluded.
