This statistic shows the answers to a telephone survey, performed from 2016 to 2018, on whether respondents from the Netherlands thought cyber attacks from other countries to be a major threat, a minor threat or no threat at all. The overall theme of the survey was on international concerns, which includes global warming, terrorism and cyberattacks. In 2018, foreign cyber attacks were regarded to be a bigger threat than in 2016. In October 2018, the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service or MIVD publicly stated it had prevented a foreign hack of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague.
