This statistic displays the willingness to pay for climate policy in the Netherlands in 2019. Respondents taking part in this Ipsos survey were asked whether or not they would be willing to contribute financially to climate policy, and if so, how much. Just over 30 percent of the respondents said they would not be willing to personally contribute to climate policy. By contrast, two percent of survey participants stated to be willing to pay more than 100 euros.

This statement was phrased by the source as follows: "Veel plannen om klimaatverandering (en de gevolgen daarvan) tegen te gaan kunnen consumenten mogelijk geld gaan kosten. Stel dat iedereen in Nederland bijdraagt, hoeveel bent u dan persoonlijk bereid om per maand mee te betalen aan klimaatbeleid?" (English: Many plans to mitigate climate change (and the results of it) could potentially cost consumers a lot of money. If everyone in the Netherlands contributes, how much would you be willing to contribute yourself to climate policy?).
The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.
