This statistic presents the results of a series of surveys examining dietary habits and views in Hong Kong biannually from 2014 to 2018. During the most recent survey in December of 2018, around 15 percent of respondents in Hong Kong said they were "die-hard" meat eaters. The ratio of strict meat consumers dropped significantly from 27 percent in 2014.

To ensure the survey was representative, survey data and responses were weighted against the demographics of Hong Kong’s population, including age, gender, occupation and monthly family income.
The most recent survey was conducted in December of 2018.
