U.S. adult opinions regarding the internet & its effect on areas of life 2019

This statistic presents the opinion of internet users in the United States regarding the invention of the internet and its effects on selected areas of life as of March 2019. According to the findings, 11 percent of respondents reported that the invention of the internet has significantly improved the quality of public debate and conversations overall in society. In comparison, 37 percent of respondents stated the opposite, saying that the internet had an overall negative effect on public debate and conversation.
