Renewables share in electricity supply in Brazil 2013-2021
Renewable sources accounted for approximately 78.1 percent of the electricity internal supply in Brazil in 2021, down from 83.8 percent a year earlier. 2020 recorded the highest figure in the indicated period. Hydropower is the main renewable source used in the country, accounting for some 55 percent of Brazil's electricity generation that year.
